Friendship Bracelet
Global Girls’ friendship bracelets are made by Maasai women in Kenya, a tribe well-known for their beautiful beadwork. Your purchase specifically helps these women earn money earmarked to send their daughters to school.
The women artisans make the bracelets on their tribal lands. Global Girls works with an educated Maasai woman who collects the bracelets in the Maasai villages and sends them to us. Working at home allows the women to tend to their children and cattle and maintain a traditional lifestyle.

Wear & Care
To tie the bracelets:
- wrap the bracelet around the wrist
- feed the long “tail” through the hole
- tie a knot in the tail at the base of the hole it’s just come through
- cut the remaining leather off the tail (if the customer wishes to leave the bracelet on indefinitely); otherwise, just wrap the excess around the knot
The bracelets are generally meant to be left on until they fall off. If the customer wants the option to remove it, then don’t cut the end off; just wrap the end of the tail back under the bracelet so that the knot can be undone.
Care: Once on, there is no need to remove the bracelet to shower or swim. It should stay on for quite a while and will not get stinky!

SHIPPING:
We usually ship Monday through Friday, excluding US holidays. Orders usually ship within the next 2 days after being processed online. However, during the summer months, we are frequently out of town, and therefore we may need a few more days to ship your order (if this is the case, we will try to notify you via email).
FREE Ground shipping on orders over $150 before tax (continental US only)
We ship the sandals (and most other goods) via the US Postal Service using Priority Mail.
1 pair of sandals to anywhere in the continental US costs $14.70.
2 pairs of sandals to anywhere in the continental US will likely have free shipping due to the value being over $150
RETURNS:

Returns can be initiated within 30 days of the ship date.
Damaged goods will be replaced whenever possible; if the item is no longer available, your money will be refunded, or you can opt to receive a credit that is valid for one year from the date of issue.
Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable, and the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
